Game Tips:

Dear Parents,

Thanks for the wonderful emails about ways to play Game Factory with the family!
We put together a list of some great tips!:

  1. Start off by playing the “Match” game and teach them the basic principle of the game. Tell them what is the objective of the game, and show them that if they miss a match, that is better to uncover another tile before they go back to the last one they missed.
  2. Kids tend to repeat the last wrong choice to find the right one. It is best to uncover a new tile first and if it is the one that you think it matches then you match it, else you go for another tile.
  3. Start with the “Very Easy” level, so they can feel good about themselves!
  4. Pick a harder level each time until they reach a fun level that challenges them enough, but is not to challenging that they loose concentration!
  5. Next you can play the “Mystery 2 Players” game with them. Kids love friendly competition!
  6. In “Mystery 2 Players” there is some strategy, and sometimes is best to uncover a wrong tile so your opponent does not have too much information for their next pick.
  7. Play the games using your native language first. After they understand how the games work, try mixing your native language with a new language!
  8. Some fans’ favorite combinations include “English-Spanish”, “Japanese-Chinese”, & more!
  9. Try sticking with whichever new language you choose for a while, so you don’t get a bunch of different languages mixed up.
  10. When the game first says the words out loud, help them by repeating the word too. Ask them to join in!
  11. After a few games, encourage them to play the “Match” game alone.
  12. Once they’ve finished a match game all by themselves, congratulate them! This is their 1st sign of real independence! Woohoo!
  13. Next, encourage them to repeat the words alone. This will help them associate language with a picture!
  14. Once they’re really comfortable with the app, help them play the Tap game. This can often be the most challenging of the games in other languages, or the most fun for younger ones.
  15. The Tap game can test their knowledge from the other games. Congratulatory sounds make this a fun game to play!
  16. Timed academic exams are so common nowadays. Playing this friendly “Timed” game can be your way to show your child that timed aspects should help motivate, & not stress them. A challenge can be fun!

Most of all, remember there is no wrong way to play these games! The goal… to have fun while you learn!!!
